In the above case the pins need to be extracted. This cannot be done without a special extraction tool.

You will notice that the extraction tool has to be FULLY inserted before depressing the plunger in order to function properly. Failure to do so can easilly damage the pins.

ELCO/EDAC connectors are available in 20, 38, 56, 90 and 120 pin formats. Did I mention that they are a Canadian invention!
