Insuring Your Gear

Postby gamblor » Fri Feb 26, 2010 12:01 pm

I'm bringing all of our band’s gear into my place soon and I’m hoping to have my tenant’s insurance cover it. My agent says she either needs receipts or appraisals to make sure that everything is fully covered. Anybody ever gone through this process? For most of it I’m thinking I could just head over to long & mcquade to get a retail quote, but there are some older/vintage items that I couldn’t do this for.

There's the Orion Blue Book for pro audio/musical instruments. Long & McQuade should have a copy of it, that's how they would know the value of something. We have an older copy of it kicking around too for reference...
