You guys rock. Thanks again for all your hard work this weekend. I can't tell you how much you've helped me over the past few days. With your good work ethic and great attitude you'll both do very well in your chosen field, I have no doubts.

Why thank you Mr. Matt. I learned a lot, I hope you didn't mind all my puns 8-)

Yeah I'm really looking forward to the session in August, hopefully one or both of you can make it. I felt a bit odd sitting around doing nothing for so much of the day. Not used to not being in the drivers seat, although it was fun to ride shotgun with Matt.

Click on the facepalm for more info. Oh and you may want to be listening to this in your control room. You may not hear it on laptop speakers.

I'm willing to bet if Nick was to record a sample of his phone receiving a text message that the sounds would be a match. The snare btm mic was the one that picked it up the most, but it's in the 4050s, 414 and the 4051 as well. I'm totally intending on keeping it.

Haha! Interesting. Do you have a file of the bottom snare solo'd? What tune was it on?

It was the first track that we recorded Saturday. I can post the solo'd snare btm, but the sum of all the mics is where you can here it best. I just thought it was funny...

Only if you bring you cellphone in the tracking room with you and leave it on... :-P

I'd love to have you up. In this case the band already had their own drummer, but I'd totally use you if ever I had the right opportunity.

He's not with Rogers or anything ...but I think Greg is with Fido that uses Rogers towers.

But either way, the sound is the actually phone ringing in the room and the snare btm mic seems to be catching it more than the room mic from what Alain and I can tell.

No biggie...I just found it funny. I'm gonna keep it in.

I can hear it now......

I doubt it'll be noticeable in the mix, but if it does get in the way I have alternate takes of that section that have a good chance of not having cell phones in it.
