Buying Software used?

Postby dylanger » Sun Jul 18, 2010 5:40 pm

Someone has Logic in Kijiji for 300. I thought that you can only put the Software on a computer so many times and then it wont install after that. Is this true?

Shouldn't be, although Windows used to make you have to jump through more hoops every time you authorized your version of XP. A pain for people who used to format semi regularly.

If you get all the original disks, manuals and paper work, you should be alright. Although check what version they have. Logic studio new is only around $500, so if it's an older version it's probably not worth it.

What Andrew said.

It just fills Forum pages..." --compasspnt

I'd get it. I have an academic version of Logic Studio, but I would easily pay $300 bucks for the suite, even though I don't use it that much. Even if they didn't include Logic it would be worthwhile.

I'm going to moncton tonight to get it. I'll be saving 400, so I'm pretty excited.

I picked it up last night and the discs were there along with the manuals and ID codes. I'm pretty stoked to get into mainstream, it's supposed to be uber cool.

And we're all about "uber" anything.

I don't know too much about Logic, but I'll help you out where I can. I actually have used Waveburner and some of the other bonus apps that come with the suite than Logic itself. There's some really good tutorials with Apple stuff that I'm sure could take you much farther than I can though.

Ya I'm sure I'll have questions, even the manuals that come with it are very good, it tells you everything step by step in real project situations.

I'll give you a shout before then and see what's up. Should be good though...
