Rode NT1000

Just a PSA if anyone's interested. Got a call on an offer today from a dealer who is a friend of a friend that are doing a blowout on Rode NT1000's. If anyone's interested they're going for $280, but the order would need to be place by the end of the month, ie tomorrow.

You can PM me if interested and I'll forward the contact info.

As you were.

Sweet deal. That's around 80-100$ off the typical retail price.

I heard there are several vendors that are blowing these mics out these days. Not sure if it means anything about the future of the model, but they are a great thing for anyone looking for a good cardioid pair of LDCs.

I just spent some money on some mics so it's hard to, but I really shouldn't pick up anymore... right now... even though I'd love a pair of those... really.

Why did I figure you'd chime in on that...

I have a new one of these in the house:

I also have currently in transit, the much underrated Shure KSM44, as well as a new pair of KSM137s.

We should get together this fall and do a mic shootout. Make it a weekend long affair. I think it's long overdue. Last one we had was years ago.

I absolutely love the new Shure studio stuff. I think it's taken the place of the AKG stuff from the 80's, but it's even more affordable.
