Boss BR-8 Recording Rig

Postby josh porter » Sun Sep 12, 2010 10:05 pm

So I have recently acquired a Boss BR-8 Recording Rig and am kinda new at it. I'm not sure if its a good quality rig or not. It came with 2 Zipdisks and they only hold 50mins of recording time. I have a feeling I will be needing more but am not sure where to look for such a device. Any input would be great and much appreciated as I hope to start using the unit in some personal projects.

Thanks

Our very own Scott D is somewhat of a BR8 expert. I'm sure he will chime in when he sees this.

Many of the tracks that are part of his final recordings started out life on a BR8.

have the BR-532, would I benefit from this tutorial as well? I don't know much about using it.

I took a quick look at the BR-532; it seems to have the same basic layout as the BR-8. I'll do some work with Josh first and that will get me reaquainted with the workings. I haven't used the BR-8 in a few years but I'm sure it will all come back to me quick enough.
And yes, I suspect you would benifit from a tutorial.

Sweet man, I'd appreciate it. I plan on using it extensively in January for a project I have coming up so any help would be really great.
