Yeah, that's about all I know as well.
Hopefully it's a decent place that can cater to professional bands that may need the odd tune up while on the road and such. Not just to people that want to jam and store there gear there. From looking at the website the premise seems to indicate some manner of "collective". I suppose I'd have to see how that is intended to work for myself. I'd like to go have a tour our their facility once they open in February, to see if maybe we can refer some of our clients to them when we are otherwise engaged.
Of course we offer a pretty solid rehearsal spot ourselves, but already for 2011 it doesn't look like we're going to have many breaks between sessions. At least not until the spring maybe.
It would be nice to be able to accommodate out regular clients by sourcing out another facility that is at least comfortable with good equipment. I realize that people get spoiled when they come here, but a rehearsals aren't our main priority in terms of generating income. Of course, it's still first come first served. If someone books a rehearsal for a certain date we'll honour that commitment regardless of if another client wants to start an album that same day. Same goes for rentals, it's all first come first served.
But with how busy we'll be for the next little while I hope to be able to accommodate everyone. It would be nice to have another outfit that does rehearsals though, and maybe even a business of some kind that does MI rentals? I know, it's a lot to ask.
