Yes but if that bass playing hornist happens to also be the engineer, and you're just the lowly right handed drummer than you're pretty much SOL.

Oh yeah... when it's your stuff that you are producing / engineering I could care less what mistakes you make in regards to panning. It's not usually the end of the world anyways since you are a drum bigot by nature. So it's not like the drums won't get turned down anyways.

Or just replaced/played right by a drum machine...

Seems like an awful lot of work for something you are just going to underdub anyways.

No not underdubbed, just sounds more like a tambourine by the time I'm done! :-P

Moral of the story Kevin, make sure the tambourine overdub is louder than everything else in the mix except the vocals.

Your reverbs sound like they are mono... On purpose or am I just not getting it?

Oh its entirely possible I'm doing something incorrectly; I am, by no means, even close to being an expert at this. :-?

I'll have to check again when I get home, but I believe I have the reverb sends set up stereo. I have reverb on Wayne, and my snare, which are both mono tracks. I have a bit on the backing vocals, but I have the reverb panned the same percentage as the vocals themselves.

Even though they are mono tracks, if you insert a stereo effect on them, set the track to "stereo" and you'll hear them correctly.
