Peter Gabriel - "So" Classic Albums

Postby Malcolm Boyce » Thu Jan 03, 2013 2:33 pm

Just got this for Christmas. Haven't watched it yet, but I bet Matt will want to check this out when he gets a chance. I'll chime in after I give it a good look.

Anyone else seen this? Certainly one of my all time favourite albums.

Loved it. Would have enjoyed more specifics on the recordings themselves and maybe a little less peripheral stuff, like the story behind the distinctive videos, but I'm sure many love that part of that album's story as well.

One very interesting story is the track listing for the 25th anniversary version was actually the intended flow of the album, but was changed because of the limitations of vinyl at the time. "In Your Eyes" was supposed to the the final track on the album, but was moved for sonic considerations. Now because of better formats, we get to hear the album in it's proper form.

Makes you wonder how many times that happened back in the day, and we were unaware of it.
