Apps for Android

Postby Malcolm Boyce » Mon Jan 28, 2013 2:49 pm

So I'm a happy new Android user and am wondering if any of you have suggestions for audio or music related apps. There is so much stuff to sift through out there in app land, I figured I'd ask and see what others are using.

Anyone know a great "Tap Tempo" app? The one for WebOS that I have is stellar and gives average and current tempos. Would love to get one for Android that is as good

The only Apps I have are to play video games at work. Alain has a list of useful apps though, I'm sure.

I installed a neat little app on my android phone called gString. It's a (free) tuner that works really quite well.

He's a drummer not a musician.

Here's a list of apps I have (free) that have been useful:

ElectroDroid by Iero
Mobile Metronome by Gabriel Simoes
Sound Meter by Smart tools co.

Try them out and see if you liek them, if you don't simply delete them. Most Android apps are free, so there is no risk.

I also found a "Super Bright Flashlight" app that works well.
