I don't usually post stuff I'm working on but this is a cool little project and it gave me a chance to try out our new camera. Check out the cymbal at :42

I'm too lazy to figure out how to embed stuff.

Hey... I know that crash! That was actually the first Zildjian I ever bought. I got it in 2001 from Hugga Guitar. No matter how hard I try to break it (as you can see in the video,) that cymbal is still alive and well. Surprising really, if this video is an accurate representation what happens every time I hit it.

The cymbal is cool, but the strings on the gtr is pretty neat too. Low strings VS high strings. Cool!

Actually most of that is due to some left hand muting Aaron's doing. The higher strings can get pretty crazy too. Also there was a bunch of other cool stuff that didn't make the video. It was neat to watch Matt's technique close up. It almost looked like he was throwing the sticks at times his hands were so relaxed. Also if you look closely Matt before the cymbal hit you can see a bit of the tom skin warble like we tried to get on the snare. It's not full slow speed but it gives you an idea. I think if we'd taken the time to setup the lights and whatnot we could have gotten close to what the snare head was doing in the TimeWarp clip.

Would love to see a whole set of drums and cymbals done that way. The details would probably be pretty interesting
