Not I. Pretty stellar looking rig by the pics I've seen. You may need to wait for everyone's hearing to come back before they'll post anything... :-P

Show looked great, but sounded worse than any show I have seen in my life. People want to say that all shows at Harbour Station sound like that, but I've heard way better shows there than this.

Good thing they are like deity to me or else I'd have been upset.

Not to stereotype but, did they just overpower the space? That can be a big problem down there.

I was in Halifax to see Rush and was reminded how boomy the Metro Centre is. Far worse than Harbour Station IMO.

It didn't really feel that loud. Toms were the hottest thing in the mix, yet the snare sounded like it was muted. I say that because I was close enough to faintly make out the snare acoustically from the actual drum kit. Kick drum was in the PA but fairly low in the mix. The mix had no balls at all, just toms and guitars.

Kicker was the vocals. Mostly noticeable in Paul Stanley's vocals (only from the main stage, the auxiliary stage vocal mic seemed fine) there was audible distortion.

The opening band sounded much better, although also not great. At least the drums were mixed reasonably.

May just not be digging the mix.

I can't imagine stuff like this mixed as "snare-lite" on purpose. Makes you wonder.

Could it be because you were so close? I try to stay away from floor seats in there. I've been to some shows when I was in the first row of the second bowl about two or three sections back from the stage and it sounded great, it sounded so bad on the floor that people came up and stood in the isle of our section.

In many large venues, sitting close is a compromise of sound for proximity to the stage. As much as we try for consistency, sitting down front centre is rarely an exceptional sounding spot compared to mid venue.
