We are very lucky to have a new construction with excellent site lines between control room, iso booth, and main floor. All three rooms have two large windows each, all about 6x3 foot each

Not me.

I actually almost went for a "no control room" set up in my new space (coming soon)... but eventually decided on a decent size control room. I like doing overdubs with folks right in the room with me, with the regular exception being vocals... unless they're my own.

I don't have a window between control and tracking room because I think folks sometimes like to be rock stars without you watching them. I also like to listen in my undies so it can work both ways too...

I hate the sound of vocals cut in bad iso booths... and most of them are... bad.

excellent,

I might have to send some work your way...

Malcolm,
it's true, things can get weird when uber-isolation is in full swing at certain studios... I call it the aquarium effect.
