Pro Tools 7.4

Postby macrae11 » Thu Jan 10, 2008 5:47 pm

Well it's been a while since I posted, Christmas break and all that.

Yesterday I downloaded the newest version of Pro Tools and I'm so blown away by the new Elastic Audio feature. It's a new time stretch feature that is basically adding melodynish time stretching capabilities. It sounds excellent at reasonable tasks, even on complex material. This feature completely changes my way of editing. Anyone who's working with PT should do themselves a favor and check it out. I'm running it on OS10.4.11 and it's working flawlessly.

The only downside is on long files the analyzing process can be a little time consuming. Guess I need to upgrade. And people keep saying that computers are getting fast enough

Yeah i'm planning on getting that! I have up to 7.3 but i've still been using Sonar mostly. I do like the way Digi does the upgrades though, it's easier for me to put $75 on a visa rather than Sonar at about $180/year
