I imagine the artifacts are ridiculous. Cool if it works though.

Even if it does leave artifacts, this would still be a remarkable writing tool.

Wow... Melodyne is once again pushing back the differences between audio and MIDI. In terms of the logistics of how this actually is done on the programming level, hurts my head. This should be impossible. In terms of the artifacts, my instinct agrees with you Malcolm. However... Melodyne has never given me many problems in that respect so long as I do things in good taste and intelligently. I'd think that they wouldn't release this product without that same standard of quality. But man, if this does work as well as it appears, I don't even want to understand how it's even possible to begin with...

...This hurts my head, but in kind of a good way.

Certainly sounded good in the video. Who knows how much that was played with though. I'll definitely be buying it once they get the bugs worked out.

Man, that's crazy. I haven't been so impressed with a piece of software since I first saw the original melodyne demoed. I also agree that if it created alot of noticable artifacts, it would be sitting on a shelf and not getting released.

Keep in mind it's not getting released until Fall of 2008 included with the plug-in, so they are obviously taking their time with it.

Anybody wanna give it a whirl? A public BETA test has been released.

I'll probably test it out once they have the plugin version online.

It's looking like that'll happen by the end of this month.

I'm sure after all this time, it must work perfectly...

I agree, this is likely a demo to get you hooked on it.
