Well I realize most here might not care, but PT 8 is almost here. Looks really great too.

Definitely stole a few things from Logic, like the comping feature. Also looks a little more logic-y. Elastic pitch looks interesting, but I don't think it's going to replace Melodyne for me.

Also responded to a lot of LE users demand for higher track count. Base version comes with 48 tracks and is expandable up to 128.

Extremely improved MIDI, new VI's, and double the inserts. I'll be quite happy when this is released.

It does seem like it's going to be a real upgrade. Paying attention to the LE users will certainly help attract some to try that out. Some of the LE shortcomings has helped keep users in the Cubase/Sonar/Etc... camps.

It even has scale markings in dbFS next to the meters now!!!! :roll:
