My lady-friend asked me if there are any cello teachers in SJ... I dunno, are there?

I'm not sure about cello teachers but the name of your post made me laugh out loud

Sonja Adams is amazing. John Buckley used to teach out in Rothesay, I loved having him as a teacher, but I'm not sure if he's teaching anymore. For lessons from a professional, she should expect to pay $60+/hour. Figured I should throw that in there, as they are much more expensive than say guitar lessons.

Sonja would be my first suggestion as well.

At what level does your lady-friend play? Beginner, intermediate, advanced? If she is just starting out, maybe get a few pointers from a (less than professional) cellist. That might be a more cost-effective approach. Unless she is extremely serious about it... then a professional would be the best choice.
