Al Cannon...

Postby RoadDog » Thu Feb 03, 2011 10:39 am

Allan Glenn Cannon of Saint John passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 31, 2011 at his residence. Born at Saint John on April 6, 1966, he was a son of Glenn and Diana (Smith) Cannon. Allan was currently employed with Jerry's Tire Centre, but was best known as a talented musician who played in many bands in the area, usually playing bass guitar. In addition to his parents, Allan is survived by two sons, Collin and Jaccob, both of Kars; his girlfriend Tina Jenson and her children Jessica and Samantha; and his brother, Derek Cannon (Paula). Allan was predeceased by his grandparents Mabel and Stanley Cannon, and Alexander and Vera Smith. Relatives and friends, especially his musical family and friends, are invited to join the family in a celebration of Allan's life, which will be held as a reception on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A private family service and burial will take place at a later date at the Moore's Mills Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family, in lieu of flowers. Online condolences may be placed at http://www.brenansfh.com.

I heard about this later that day. Such a shock. My thoughts go out to his family.

I worked with Al a week ago.

He was a memorable character.

Things like this make me feel my age.

All of the above! This has prompted me to consider my own mortality.
