This has been floating around the internet:

I don't really know what to make of it... I clear far more on my royalty cheques and I haven't produced new music for tv/film in a long time. So what's the back story here I wonder? Does he even write any of the music? I'm not expecting him to be seeing million dollar royalty cheques or anything but I don't expect this either unless doesn't really do much writing.

That's just silly, without more information. Was it royalties for a fiscal quarter where one preview song was offered on the web for one day at the end of the quarter? Was it actually from his label, or was it from some kind of SOCAN-like organization? The lack of information makes it not very lucid after all.

All that being whatever it is, the "industry" as was known when I started in this biz is gone, gone, so gone. Music is still being used as much as ever, but artists hoping to walk into "record deals" the way that it was 20 years ago are dreaming a dream that doesn't have much of a happy ending to look forward to.

Haha... That's still presuming that he actually did any of the writing.
