I said it on GC and I'll say it here. This is a beautiful video. I absolutely love the subtle melancholy of the whole thing and the simple images say a lot more than maybe you even intended to (although I assume you knew exactly what you were doing). I've been sharing this with all of my friends to see and I've watched it several times now. Gorgeous!

That little blue fellar's got heart . A champ! Also, it freaked me out a little when the camera and disc on the floor started moving. Kind of like when a set piece falls over on a stage. I think I was getting lost in the vid and it jolted me.

maybe I'm reading too much into it but I thought that was intentional. It was a Curbside CD and another camera, plus there's the jar of life savings. To me it seemed like we were watching things pushed towards the end until ultimately "missions accomplished". Maybe I am wrong.

Thanks guys! : D

You are correct. Most of what you saw was intentional. Originally, Evan just wanted to see if the little hexbug could
make it from my bedroom to the living room, then it turned into an escape from a vortex. We decided in order to
symbolize saving his life, the life savings seemed to be the best thing around. could he make it to the jar?
The whole bug part was guesswork. It isn't remote controlled, it just vibrates, and goes in random directions until
it hits something. In our case, it went around in circles a lot. We lucked out when it rode the rail to the end.
The stuff moving was to symbolize the peril behind him. I meant for it to be a much closer shot to the floor, but
I'm happy with what we have.
Overall message is not to give up on life even when it tries to knock you down, and even though we're all destined to die,
to enjoy life while we have it.

Even though it's about death, I think it's the happiest song I've ever written.

Thanks again fellas!

Finally got a chance to see it. I've been quite ill the past few weeks, so I haven't been on Middle Audio much...

I think this is great. Love the video and love how it works with the song. Well done Steve!
