Music Download Cards

Postby Mathieu Benoit » Fri Nov 07, 2008 12:23 pm

So... I'm seeing more and more artists use these nowadays. Seems like a neat idea. I wonder as a purchaser how much money you'd save as opposed to having CDs printed. Anyone know more about these cards?

well...obviously I know a bt about them since I gave yu one last night. For me they don't repace a CD but they certainly make for good promo and I would use them for things like lo-fi EP's and what not. I made 100 for about $125. I've only brought them to three shows now and have distrubted about 60. So for that price, they're doing their job.

Tha's a pretty good price. I agree, I think they're great for promotion. One of these days I'm going to write songs and record them. When that day comes I'll be making a hundred of those things.

hey this is the first i've heard of it.

do people buy the cards off the performer, and then have a set quota they are allowed to download?

like a pay as you go card or something.

cool idea.
