I know most of this stuff is bullshit, but kinda fun to see what people find...

Most? 8-)

Apparently there are people who think there is a whole second language that people speak when they're speaking normally, that states what their true thinking really is. They say we can speak this language almost from birth, before we learn to speak forwards.

Personally with such limited phonetic sounds to work with, it seems impossible that you wouldn't find backwards "information" in speech.
I think you're right that it is fun to see what people find. I think is says more about the finder than the speaker/singer. :-)

People like these: http://www.reversespeech.com/home.htm and these: http://www.thehiddenlanguage.com/ are so kind to help the poor huddled masses unravel the secrets of the universe by selling them stuff to unlock their hidden potential.

I had an experience one time while recording a project for Jake Hubbard. There is a function in WaveLab that will eliminate DC offset. Right next to that function is one called 'reverse'... which I selected by mistake.
The lyrics at that spot said "these things..." but in reverse he said "it's evil" just as plain as that.
My assistant and I both had a big laugh over it and listened to it several times just because it was so unbelievably clear. After that we both promised never to let the guitar player hear it. He was very religious and would have totally freaked out and probably would have quit the project.

I was thinking of telling this story myself, but I could not remember how we came about listening to the track backwards to begin with. SPOOKY!!!LOL
Is it just me?
