Old Time Radio Show - Attention Roach and Clinton

Postby LarryS » Wed Jan 27, 2010 1:31 pm

I am the president of the local Rotary Club. (Calais, Maine) Last year I organized a two hour live radio show as a fund raiser for the club. The radio station, Classic Hit's 92.7 and 102.9, donated the radio time and the club sold advertising time to local businesses. It was a success.

Jef Mclean did the sound, we had 7 or 8 music acts perform live on air. It was held at the local high school with around 150 people in attendance.

I am getting ready to put together this years show for the end of March. This years proceeds will go to a Haiti related charity. I was wondering if Clinton and/or Sean Roach would be interested in performing at this years event.

Is it a solo acoustic kinda thing, or a band thing?

I would prefer acoustic type thing just because of set up time between acts because it is a live broadcast on the radio. But that being said......what kind of a band do you have??[/quote]

Well we're a three-piece band that usually does Radiohead, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley kinda stuff (plus a few originals!), though we can acoustic stuff too.

When we do acoustic we usually go with Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, Radiohead (again), and basically whatever is needed at the time.
We practice at least once a week, so we've been through a lot of phases
