Atlantica Centre partners with Rogers TV to launch new series “Live in the Studio"

See, now I'm wishing I had cable. I would totally watch this.

That's hilarious that you post this today as I caught the show yesterday totally by chance.

Tune in to see any and all Atlantica represented artists is a thinly veiled marketing play...

Nothing inherently wrong with that actually. I'd probably do the same if I was them, it only makes sense.

So how was the show though? Am I going to like it? Should I hook the cable back up?

'cept when Rogers is supposed to be "community programming" and it's an Atlantica Centre Infomercial. OK, maybe I'm being harsh with only seeing the one episode.

Typical "Cable 10" production value with a better than average sound mix on the music.

Once again, if this were commercial television, I wouldn't be picking on it. It's just something I consider sketchy for a "for profit" business to be benefiting from, knowing what the mandate of the "Cable" company's "community" channel is supposed to be.

Fair enough, I see your point now. I still want to see an episode though.

I caught the Dee one the other night. Is that the backdrop from Friday Night Rocks? Who did you see Malcolm? Did they have that same graffitti backdrop?

I liked the interview segments and I thought the host was quite good. Again, I found the backdrop quite cheesey and it made the show seem about 20 years behind the times but all in all, not too bad of a show.

I caught Kevin Chase on it.

Yeah... Same backdrop, and I agree with your assessment of the look.

Where do we start the voting to get Clinton a spot on this show?

Clinton would have to start by selling out, and that's not about to happen. Clinton's better off on his own.

I'd have no beef with doing it at all. Like I say, I find the backdrop a tad parmesan but the host was great and the exposure for these artists is great.

Now with that said, I don't foresee me doing one of these.

also, Atlantica wouldn't have enough artists to sustain this show for more than a few weeks would they? Who is on their roster?

Haha...

I'll give you $50 for one episode.

hahaha, it wasn't a slag. I am just saying, i don't foresee Jim asking someone like me to do one of these. Now if he did, I would seriously consider doing it. Geesh Louise....

I know, I'm just teasing. I'm sick at home and bored.

Besides everyone know you're not good enough yet. Maybe once you've been at it for a couple of years though you'd get to pick your own backdrops and stuff.

As a side note, you've done very well this year and I'm really happy to see you getting a lot of recognition.
