So who think that Alain should come back to host the gear thread? He's been posting on here a bit more lately and I think that people are finding his expertise to be quite handy. I know that I enjoy having him back around anyways.

Alain gets my vote. But even if he didn't want to commit to it, it'd be nice just to be able to make comments on some of those old threads, or start new ones in the right place.

Right now, it's like a bonus quest in an old video game, taunting me, just knowing that I can't find that last heart or triforce or whatever the heck I need to unlock it.

You and I would get along very well. It's exactly like that. It's like trying to find the pink puffs in Final Fantasy IV to get the pink tail so I can get some adamant armor... or something.

Anyways, glad to have you on board. The commitment would simply be to show up every once in a while and help to clarify some electronics questions. My OCD requires that these questions go in a dedicated forum. Malcolm needs a mod to host that forum, so here we are.

I believe it was made clear to Al that anytime he wants to host that section of the space again, he just needs to say the word.
