Team Samizdat has finished preproduction already and there is a minute long section of blast beats... fml.

The song overall is KILLER though. I'm pretty stoked about the rest of the 8 minutes...lol.

The song is so awesome that your mind will not know what to do. In that period of your time when your mind is blown, it will attempt to divide by zero while I'm playing complicated syncopations in 6/8 and at that time it will implode, likely killing it's host.

It's actually not as Metal as you'd think (albeit the blast beats.) It's very prog if anything...

My team apparently has a violinist who hasn't shown up, but nobody has mentioned it either. I think it's likely for the best..

Team Samizdat is unreal. The vocalist just tossed up some roughs and it blew me away. These guys are intense... Off to the woodshed I go!

Just heard the first batch of demos from our vocalist. Now I'm starting to get excited.

If we ever get around to writing some tunes Matt, we might have a singer.

Good to know!

One of my teams has grinded to a halt. Arrangements may not be their strong suit... I've yet to give them a push.

Team Samizdat is destroying everything in its path though...

Andrew... You are in this weekend right? Would you have time to help me track drums? Everything is all set up, it's just getting tones that I want help with since I can't be in two places at once.

Cool. You don't need to stick around for takes or anything, I just need a set of ears in the control room.

Hey Andrew... it seems your songwriter has won a Juno, on an album that he tracked, mixed, produced and performed on. How do you like them apples?

So the metal cape team is in mix mode. All the tracking is done.

The other cape team is in preproduction but I think we are close to getting everything worked out. I got this response from the team member that has been leading the chrage thus far (Producer had fallen off the face of the earth about a month ago.)

i don't know how you did it you drum waiter from hell, given the shit i provided you. man you're as tight as a fish schedule.

I'm not sure what a fish schedule is but he's French so who knows.

How are things going in the other teams? Are we getting extended yet?

I was supposed to mix this weekend, but I'm still waiting on tracks. Deadline will be tight but doable if people don't flake out.

How are the tracks on your end? I'm getting mixed results... I'm not saying this to sound all high and mighty but if anyone put half the effort I did into their performances we'd be in a different place. There are some performers that have serious timing issues and no one else on the team seems to recognize the problems. In turn I say nothing so as not to come off as an ass... I'm hoping that my efforts show the powers that be that I'm ready to be on a team with the BIG BOYS, but we'll see... Next year I'm applying as a drummer and a keyboard player I want to do both but don't want to deal with the logistics of doing drums twice. Maybe the year after I'll be good enough to mix/produce.

I think you should definitely produce though Andrew.

A fish schedule is like game hunting seasons.
Do not operate outside of them.
