Lava Lamp Bulbs

I used to see them all the time in any store that sold light bulbs, but it's as if they just completely dissapeared from the market about a year ago. Anyone have any idea where I could find some lava lamp bulbs locally?

I checked Kent, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Superstore, Munro... Places that used to have them but no longer seem to cary them.

I hope this isn't going to be a casualty in the war on incandescent light bulbs.

I know a few members here who have Lava Lamps, but I guess they haven't checked in here to help out... :-(

Alain was in Montreal last week and brought back some bulbs that fit, and were about 5 watts less than the orginal lava lamps bulbs were, and they didn't work at all. It doesn't heat the container enough to cause the wax to actually become liquid. Alain at first though that maybe it would simply take longer for the wax to become liquid but it simply won't even after hours. Lava lamp bulbs are very directional as well, which could also be a factor.

I'm just surprised that they seem to be non-exsistent since about 2 years ago.
