VP Debate... & The US election in general.

Anyone watch this?

I agree with the general consensus, that "Biden wiped the floor with Paul Ryan at Wednesday night's debate".

Also, Paul Ryan strikes me as a gigantic asshole.

I concur with your Ryan assessment, but I was busy receiving awards last night so I missed the debate.

I was busy watching Grey's Anatomy with Joline.

Did it go better than the presidential debate?

PS - Congrats to you and everyone at Outreach Productions, Andrew! Danny must be very proud of you guys!

Yeah it was a great night. I'll see if I can't catch up on my political watching this weekend. I'm taking a long weekend since I worked Thanksgiving for said awards.

Far better. Biden could be criticized for his frequent application of condescension as a debate tactic, but personally, I thought it appropriate. Watching Ryan squirm under the open invitation to present specifics of his magical 'everyone pays less tax; nothing loses funding' budget was wonderful; and given Obama's passivity, Biden laughing out loud at Ryan and interrupting him constantly was great.

On another note: congrats, Andrew!

Seems I missed a good one. Obama needs to pull his balls out of Michelle's purse it seems. I would have loved to see Clinton against any of them. Clinton would have sent Ryan running off the stage in tears...

Which Clinton?

As far as Obama... As crazy as it sounds, I don't consider it entirely out of the question to have been a strategy how he played that debate performance. It sounds ridiculous, but the US political system is so split in the middle, him getting a little too far out in front might have been a bad thing on election day. We'll probably never know the truth about that night.

He certainly seems to have done that last night. Did anyone see the debate last night?

I watched a few minutes here and there. It was nice to see Willard get called out for being a liar.

I caught little bits of it on the re-runs. I watched the part where they were talking about the investments in China and Romney asked Obama if he's looked at his pension. Obama responded by say something like "Yeah, it's not as big as yours though." I was satisfied with that so I turned the TV off and went to bed.

Next debate on foreign policy will be fun.
