You just wait and see what happens when Rubin is done with them... I bet it'll be a rebirth.

Keep in mind that St. Anger was supposed to be a "return to form" too ;-) Let's hope that Lars decides to play a drum kit instead of a trash can this time.

I don't believe you can ever go home again, but at least they should be capable of producing something worthwhile.

Roachie, I hope you're right man. Hey we should hang and watch their "Some Kind of Monster (I think ?)" flick. I haven't seen it yet, but heard it was good and had a bunch of great reviews.

I'm a big Rick Rubin fan...
this is the type of guy they need to keeping it real... but hopefully the tunes are good, cause not even Rubin can polish a turd.

I just so happen to watch this a couple days ago... and it never seizes to amaze me how the American public never seems to learn from similar past experiences... it's like John Lennon vs USA all over again ?

It's amazing how much energy some regular folks spend hating/boycotting certain artists who dare to have a different point of view.

I liked it, but there were issues.... "Unforgiven 3" was quite incredible.

I liked it a lot!! I feel like I should almost feel bad about that sometimes. So many folks I know rave and rant about Metallica selling out and how they are just not the same and on, and on, and on.....and blah blah blah!!!

I have always been a big fan. I think I look at things a bit differently. Growth is natural. The album is where these guys were at when they cut it. When I hanker for the old Metallica I listen to an old Matallica album.

IMO One of the greatest factors of this band was they always did things the way they wanted to. I am one person that is happy that they continue to do so!!!
Is it just me?
