Any chance you can get Elixer strings?
VL went out of business here in St. Stephen so we need a new supplier.

Looks like everybody and their dog carries the line....
Musicstop, Morris, Tony's, even Digital World.

They'll probably want me to place a stocking order if they decide consider me for the line, which is impractical based on the amount of strings I sell in the run of a year. I'll look deeper into it though.

Well since you asked.

I'm the head audio engineer at Mastertracks Recording Studios which is a division of Outreach Productions. (The website kind of sucks. There's a new one in the works but it's so hard to work on your own stuff when paying clients are waiting for their jobs.:-? )

Mastertracks is a full service audio studio for music and post.

Outreach has been in business since the late 70's and offers a variety of services from video production and editing, graphic design, web design and hosting, CD/DVD duplication, and advertising and marketing. We also rent video production gear, and/or our soundstage/recording studio to freelancers who need good gear in a good space.

As for myself I also do some of my own freelancing at Fluid Audio Group, various live events, and as an audio consultant.

HA!

That's hilarious. I used to do that too when I first saw the site. I should see what other tunes you could play.

I'm part of a small, elite team in the business of making drunk people dance, get thirsty, take a break to get drunker to gather more confidence to dance more....it's kind of a circlular thing.....we achieve this via the use of familiar sonics ranging from 40 years old to 2-3 years old - we are very successful, i am living the dream!

In my spare time, i record and mix anyone who thinks i can make them sound good, there aren't many takers yet, although they say a sucker is born every minute so i'm confident and hopeful.

I'm also semi -famous for my abilities to modify guitar necks with the help of a dust mask and much sand paper - some call it barbaric.....i liken it to a jedi who must learn to craft his own lightsaber.

Some think me a chicken picker but i prefer turkey.

At the end of the day i just wanna rock!

I'm looking hard at becoming an Olympus dealer, and bringing in some LS-10 recorders. Anybody interested, or have feedback?

Street price?

Are you planning on becoming an Olympus dealer just for this product, or are you planning on bringing in some cameras too?

The only reason I ask, is that there are a bunch of these types of units out on the market, and you could probably find one of your existing dealers who would carry an equivalent product.

I don't think there's a huge market for these types of units, at least there wasn't when I was selling them.

I would think having to satisfy a new supplier, and buying your minimum required first purchase, etc, would make things much more difficult than if you could just buy one or two units from an existing supplier with a competing product.

Depends on what their dealer requirements are, but I think it would be easier on you to just have one or two units in stock, at least until you can really suss out what the demand will be.

I'm assuming a small market to begin with, so all is cool.
I'm set and the first units are on their way to me.
Talked to the distributor, and the conversation started "Well, you're not really a music store...", so I'm thinking I'm going to get turned down as a reseller, but he continues with "....so your opening requirements will only be 2 units."
Sweet.

Hey if they're only requiring two units as an opening order, and their terms don't completely suck, sounds like a good deal.
