John Dykeman used to say that he could walk right in to any entertainment event and get away with more or less what those guys did...

I've seen some of that in action myself... It's all about looking like you belong. ;-)

Alain's always done that. Years ago I'd be walking right along side of him in a "no admittance" section of Harbour Station during a concert, and security would stop me and let him continue. Neither of us had any business back there, but Al didn't give anyone the impression that they'd win that argument... :-P This happened all the time with him.
