I'll admit, I haven't followed the Mixerman phenomenon. I have read some of the diaries.

One annoying thing about the whole deal is the number of followers of the whole gang, that act like they're in on the "secret" of who Mixerman is, when in reality you know they don't, and have had no actual dealings with any of these guys.

"Dude, I can't believe you don't know who Mixerman is... It's not really that big of a secret for those who have been around..."

BTW... I don't know who "he" is, and if as many people know who say they know, it's really not much of a secret,,,, is it?

I've read the book, as well as a number of online articles, and I don't have the sweetest clue who he is. Not many people I can think of, I believe know who he actaully is. I think the actual number of people in the know are less than they appear.

Actually MacRae we both know someone who does. He hasn't told me and likely never will. He was sworn to secrecy. I believe him... but he's the only person that I've ever heard of that knows the real identity. Running into him at the AES show probably didn't hurt. :-P

1st Edition Daily Adventures of Mixerman books are selling for quite a price these days. Worth about $600 on the fair market. Wonder what Alain's signed copy is worth? Jon Goud still has my first edition I'll need to make sure he hasn't already sold it to pay rent...

2nd edition is out now for all of those that want in on the fun.

Amazon has it in stock but it doesn't ship to Canada. I ordered a copy (12 bucks US) and awaiting for it to arrive to my friend's house in Maine. Looks like an interesting read.

The first few chapters are posted on his website. I was liking what had read so far (enough to order the book!).

Hey Jef, have you even gotten a chance to read it yet? More importantly can your bass player find a groove in a 50-year old career hooker?

No, I had to have it sent to Larry's house in Maine because they wouldn't ship to Canada. In exchange, I offered to let him have a read before I get it.
....still waiting... :-(
