Can you say 2" analog tape saturation ? Razor blade editing ? No work station voodoo ? and of course, the obvious, bands that actually played all the parts, and 'record' producers with true sonic vision, and a bag full of analog tricks ! sigh those were indeed the days...

Oh yes indeed RD, all that goes without saying. But I think that a less 'quantized' meter could also play a bit of a role in the over-all sound experience.

I've spent too much time reading another forum lately and I forgot that here we act like normal people, that act and respond in reasonable manners. Won't happen again.
