New Driving Laws

Postby Nick H. » Thu May 28, 2009 11:42 pm

So as of Monday, the province is implementing new driving laws. Some make sense, like having a 0% Blood-Alcohol Limit until you are 21, but the one I disagree with is that as of June 1st, I cannot drive after midnight until I am 21. If I get caught driving after the curfew, I would be fined $172.50 and lose 3 points. I was just wondering what other people who aren't directly effected thought of these new laws?

Are there any exceptions to that law? Like what if you are working at a restaurant and your shift is over at midnight?

Hard to say without knowing more about it. It seems a little extreme, but I think graduated driving systems produce better drivers. I'm just glad I didn't have to go through one. Do you know where there are some more details on the new laws?
