Shipping Error

Whatever doesn't fit anywhere else.

So, you order something from a large pro audio retailer. The goods arrive, then 2 days later the same goods arrive again. Your Visa has only been charged once. What do you do?

Once their book keeping catches up with the error, you will be legally responsible for the item. However, if you catch the mistake and notify them first, maybe they will pay for the return shipping.

Well if they weren't going to pay the return shipping, they wouldn't be getting it back from me. But like Jef said, it'll come back to you one way or another, and if it's a decent store, you'll have a great customer/sales relationship forever. That will eventually pay you far more dividends than just a single piece of gear.

Unless of course it was a Fairchild 670 or something.

The reaason I brought it up, is that when I mentioned the error to a couple of random people, the first thing they all said was, "Well if they don't call looking for it, keep it." Now I find that kinda stupid. Obviously I called them up right away and explained the error and they are arranging to have Sameday pick it up.

It just surprised me as to how many people automatically saw free goods when I saw a shipping error.

In the end, I got a really nice tee-shirt out of the deal!

2 S-Phones... I'm going to the studio tonight and taking pictures of the mods too. I'll post the step by step guide to modifying it to have the aux ins on the back.
