Silence is golden.

So...
Whenever I have been recording at home, I have always had to struggle with a CRT monitor vs. guitar pickups.
Finally inherited an LCD monitor (Bought Mrs. OG a wide format 19", and took her old 15").

Blessed silence.

I can now be the guitar playing virtual-tape-op that I was meant to be, without all the inherent buzzzzzz.

Yes, I like it too. I find I still get a bit of buzz with single coils when I am
kicking a high-gain sound, but it is so much better.

I had one CRT and one LCD, and would turn the CRT off when tracking guitars and bass in the room. I finally moved up to two 17" LCDs and am loving it...

Of course they keep dropping in price, but I waited long enough.
