Verrrrrry Interesting
I wonder if the resolution can be made high enough to see the differance between different types of film caps. Quantifing the reasons why they sound different would also be very interesting.

In the Golden Ears Audiofile World most claim to be able to hear the diff between good polycarbs and Gold plated ones.

I haven't heard any of the 'Hundred dollar caps' (cause I ain't that rich), but have heard the diff between say a cheap polyesther and a polycarb.

One of these days I'll go to the trouble of dc coupleing my stereo sys and see if there is a diff.

I've already stocked up on some micas to replace the ceramics in my 10W amp project. Will it make any difference in a guitar amp? Only one way to find out...
