Much trouble is saved with a cable tester on hand to remove doubt.
Too many times, especially live, when you had to jump through fire to make a musician believe their cable was the problem... Now a tester can do the job in an instant.
Also as a line check tool, the CT100 is the shiznit with it's tone generator and phantom indicator. No more checking direct lines with a 57.
I always have mine when working on stage. Truly invaluable.
